ABOUT ME
My name is Naomi and I am an International Board Certified Lactation consultant (IBCLC). I am a member of the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers (ABM) and the Lactation Consultants of Great Britain (LCGB). My background is in public health nursing (health visiting). I have spent the last 8 years’ supporting families both professionally and voluntarily. I am a breastfeeding mother of three spirited children and we live in Manchester. I have a special interest in oral function/ tongue tie and trained with Carmelle Gentle I offer holistic assessment and can refer onto tongue tie practitioners and body workers if required.
PHILOSOPHY
I am passionate about supporting families to create a postpartum that respects, supports and honours them as new parents, for the first time or all over again. A postpartum that centres the baby’s need for connection, supports their transition from womb to world, and provides them with nourishment from breast milk where this is your goal. I am a certified New Born Observation (NBO, Brazelton Centre UK) practitioner and can work alongside you to see your baby's unique strengths and support needs in their fourth trimester.
"Naomi visited us in hospital and observed me breastfeeding which was incredibly helpful and reassuring having had a few days of continuous conflicting advice from different staff members. Many of the staff were helpful and well meaning but to have somebody that I knew and trusted giving gentle guidance was a huge relief."
